DUBAI – This August, The Big Chill Café is celebrating not one but two milestones, serving up a double portion of nostalgia and flavour.
The brand has completed 25 years since its founding in India and is also marking two successful years of delighting diners in Dubai. To commemorate the occasion, the café has launched a limited-edition Lemon & Blueberry Celebration Cake, crafted exclusively for its Dubai audience.

Available at the Dubai Hills Mall location, the vibrant cake is a reflection of the café’s culinary identity – bold flavours, indulgent textures, and a hint of whimsy. It features a moist lemon sponge layered with fresh blueberries and topped with lemon-infused cream cheese frosting. Priced at Dh42 per slice and Dh336 for a 1kg whole cake, it offers a fresh and zesty way to turn any day into a celebration.
The celebratory launch highlights how The Big Chill Café has grown far beyond desserts. Since opening its doors in Delhi in 2000 as a boutique ice cream and cake café, it has evolved into a trattoria-style dining destination known for hearty Italian-inspired dishes, comfort food classics, and a dessert menu that has achieved cult status. Each dish is prepared with care and flair, earning the café a reputation as one of India’s most beloved dining brands.
The anniversary cake nods to this rich legacy while celebrating the café’s international journey. In August 2023, The Big Chill Café made its debut outside India with the Dubai Hills Mall opening, bringing its signature nostalgia, youthful energy, and vibrant flavours to the UAE.
How it began
The story of The Big Chill Café began with founders Aseem and Fawzia, who started the brand as a boutique dessert and ice cream shop in Delhi. Quickly embraced by a growing community of food lovers, it rose to cult status for its decadent bakes, rich ice creams, and indulgent comfort food, all crafted in-house. Over the years, it expanded into a full-service dining destination while retaining its signature charm and homely atmosphere.
When the Dubai outpost opened in 2023, it carried forward the same ethos, combining a warm, neighbourhood café feel with an energetic, youthful vibe. For Dubai residents, the café has become a go-to spot for Italian-inspired dining, indulgent desserts, and memorable gatherings.
